What to Expect
During your consultation, we will take x-rays of your teeth and jaw and create your unique treatment plan. Dr. Adi and his staff can also discuss sedation options for your implant surgery if you feel anxious over receiving dental care. Our general dentists work closely with our skilled periodontist, who will perform the surgical phases of your implant procedure. Once your All-on-4 dental implants have been placed within the bone in your arch, Dr. Adi or a member of his team will attach a temporary denture appliance over your implants to wear while your mouth heals and the implants integrate with your jawbone. A few months later, you will return to our office to have a custom denture appliance created and permanently attached to your All-on-4 dental implants.
Following your implant surgery, you may experience minor discomfort or swelling in the gums. Our team may recommend over-the-counter pain relievers or issue a prescription for pain medication to improve your comfort during this time. You will be given instructions on what to do and how to care for your temporary denture while you wait for your implant sites to fully recover. Once your permanent restoration is attached to your implants, you can care for them at home just like natural teeth with thorough brushing and flossing techniques. Maintaining your routine dental cleanings and exams at Atlas Walk Dental & Orthodontics is also important to keeping your tooth replacement and supporting gum and bone tissues in top shape. These visits will give Dr. Adi and his staff the chance to monitor the health of your implants, gums, jaw, and overall smile.
Your insurance plan may offer limited coverage for All-on-4 dental implant procedures. Though it is likely that you will have some personal expenses, our knowledgeable team will review your coverage amounts and help you maximize your benefits. To help you get the care you need for your smile and make your care affordable, Atlas Walk Dental & Orthodontics accepts several convenient methods of payment, including third-party medical financing.
